So, welcome to our new website. To all intents and purposes it still says the same thing as the old one did, but we have come a long way as a business in the last nine years and figured it was about time we let everyone know.
Feel free to have a look around. All our client and candidate quotes are from real people who have had real experience with us. All our case studies are genuine projects or assignments we have managed and the cross section of our assignments are all still live and active.
What we are most excited about is our “News and Views” section....otherwise known as our blog.
We constantly field emails and calls from people in the industry asking for our views (some confidential, some not) on what is happening in the recruitment market – not just here in Australia but across the recruitment industry in both the northern and southern hemispheres (no relation and no pun intended) – so we thought it prudent to create a section on our website which will be dedicated to industry news, our views on the news, industry gossip (yes, we know recruiters love a good gossip) and just plain old rants and raves.
Sometimes the content of the blog will be serious and other times will be light hearted, but rest assured we will always try to keep it real...(sorry, ‘they’ made me say that, I wanted to put ‘relevant’ but I guess I just don’t know the Gen Y terminology these days)
We will address major topics on a monthly basis, but all our staff will be free to (steady on, within reason) launch a blog topic / discussion thread wherever they see fit.
It’s a funny old world, the domain of being a recruiter to recruiter or a Rec 2 Rec or a search to search firm....or, as I like to call it, being an executive search consultant to the recruitment and resourcing industry (copyrighted @TC 2002). People who have had the pleasure of engaging with us tell us that they enjoy a level of service and consulting unparalleled (so they keep insisting) in our marketplace...but it’s hard to get that message across to a community of recruiters who seem to think that ‘we are all as bad as each other’.
Hang on, hang on, don’t all rush to put down your muffins and short blacks and start typing furiously about how R2Rs are all failed recruiters and you don’t see the value in the service...it’s all been said many many times before...there have been many a blog on this subject, and this isn’t another one.
We simply intend keeping the executive recruitment market abreast of what is going on...not just in Sydney or Melbourne but in Asia, UK, Middle East to name drop a location or two.
Far from being a tabloid gossip column though, we intend profiling new businesses who we think are doing something different, we will be conducting interviews with high profile (heck, even low profile...) people from those firms and from the market in general and we just hope that our website (and this blog in particular) is of interest to you.
Being relatively new to all this, we welcome hearing any thoughts and ideas that you wish us to cover. We will listen to everything and respond to everyone who has something to say...after all, customer service is the fundamental basis of everything that we do.
