So the saying goes, a shoemaker is always too busy mending everyone else’s shoes that he never has time to tend to his or his family’s own feet.. and we think there is no more apt phrase to apply to being a recruiter.
You spend the vast majority of your day counseling, advising, cajoling and influencing other people and when it comes to your own career it tends to get neglected.
We appreciate that entrusting another recruiter to be genuinely impartial when it comes to your own career is a difficult thing to do, however there is a reason that more and more experienced recruitment specialists, at all levels of the market, come and talk to us and us alone.
We have developed a reputation for being genuine advisers, not salespeople. Most of the people we place have already spent time discussing their careers with us many years before we help them make a career move. That is why we do not feel the need to continually advertise our services.
If you would like to discuss anything such as salary levels and commission structures, what opportunities exist overseas, what your competitors are doing or even just simply want to chew the fat ‘recruiter to recruiter’, we are always willing to spend an hour of our time sharing knowledge and, where appropriate, imparting advice.
We guarantee not to:
• send your CV to lots of inappropriate firms that you will have no interest in joining
• bombard you with a list of our current vacancies
• twist your arm to take one of the jobs we are handling because it reduces our job list (we don’t work on job lists anyway)
• coerce you into meeting a client of ours to make us look good.
We guarantee that we will:
• Listen to what is important to you with regards your career
• Only advise you of possible ideas if you actually want us to represent you
• Only assist you if we think we can help you to make a better career move, not simply a job move.
• Act at all times with integrity and complete transparency – this includes being completely honest with you if we have no relationship with a firm you are interested in talking to.
• Keep in touch with you in the future. We like our relationships to last beyond an initial conversation or ‘placement’
We all know that expressions of intent are easy enough to say. We invite you to put us to the test and give us a call.
